Mr. Gonzalez is an experienced attorney with over thirty years of legal experience as a judge, prosecutor and private attorney. He handles complex matters for his business and individual clients in several practice areas.
Prior to forming Gonzalez & Oberlander LLP, Mr. Gonzalez served as a Commissioner under the Bloomberg and Giuliani Administrations. During his extensive twenty years of public service for the City of New York, he also served as an Administrative Law Judge, General Counsel, and Assistant District Attorney.
Bert M. Oberlander

Mr. Oberlander is an experienced attorney with over 20 years of legal experience. Whether he is arguing for the dismissal of criminal charges, appearing in family court, or advising a business on contractual matters, he skillfully analyzes each client’s case and develops a successful approach to achieve the desired result.
Prior to forming Gonzalez & Oberlander LLP, Mr. Oberlander was an Assistant District Attorney with the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office. Mr. Oberlander gained significant investigative and trial experience in the Criminal Court, Grand Jury, and Investigations Bureaus.
Mr. Oberlander was also an investigator with the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem. He continued honing his investigative skills with Kroll Associates, a multi-national white collar investigative company. At Kroll, Mr. Oberlander managed a team of investigators.

Mr. Velez is an experienced attorney with over thirty years of legal experience as a judge, general counsel and private attorney. He handles complex matters in the areas of matrimonial and family law, immigration, and commercial litigation. His professional experience has provided him with a unique ability to identify issues and resolve them in a quick and cost effective manner.
Prior to joining Gonzalez & Oberlander LLP, Mr. Velez served as a Commissioner under the Bloomberg and Cuomo Administrations. During his extensive public service for the City and State of New York, he also served as a Chief Administrative Law Judge and General Counsel. Mr. Velez has extensive experience serving as an attorney for several board of directors and provides advice in the areas of business and corporate compliance.
